Service requests
A food undertaking shall submit a notification regarding the registration of a food product belonging to the specified groups or send it by post or by electronic means, if the notification has been prepared in conformity with the regulatory enactments regarding the drawing up of electronic documents.
Documents may also be submitted:
• using the e-address of the institution;
• using the e-service authority on the home page.
The notification shall be accompanied by a food:
- a sample of the mark in the original language (e.g. a label or a photocopy clearly visible from the original with legible text or a scanned mock-up);
- a sample of the labelling text in the official language.
Where a statement is submitted in paper form, the food undertaking shall provide the relevant information and the above-mentioned sample in addition by electronic means, using electronic data carriers.
National fee for the registration of foods produced in a third country of EUR 228,00; for the registration of foods produced in one of the countries of the European Economic Area EUR 100,00; for the registration of infant formulae and follow-on formulae EUR 43,00.Service Processing
The Service shall take a decision within one month.Receipt of services
The Service shall take one of the following decisions within one month of receipt of the notification:
- to register a food and to include it in the register of foods belonging to certain groups, if the documents submitted by the food undertaking to the service are properly presented and complete and the food conforms to the requirements of the regulatory enactments regulating the food chain;
- refuse registration if all the necessary documents have not been submitted or the food product does not comply with the requirements of the regulatory enactments regulating the food chain.
