Aktuāli Robežkontrole

Please be informed that in accordance with Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/2522 (amending Annex I to Council Regulation (EEC) No 2658/87 on the tariff and statistical nomenclature and on the Common Customs Tariff), Common Nomenclature (CN) codes in TRACES will be updated accordingly in order to ensure the alignment of TRACES with that Regulation.

This alignment is an exercise that can only be performed manually by the TRACES Helpdesk team and as such the relevant changes will be implemented online on 2nd January 2025. This change will impact both TRACES interactive and web-services users.

In this context, it is important to note that for any non-finalised documents or certificates (i.e. status draft, in progress, new) which are using CN codes that will be modified / removed, such documents will not be able to be finalised after the update and therefore they will have to be issued from scratch so that the system will load the new CN codes’ configuration (i.e. ‘copy as new’ won’t be possible).

With respect to the codes that are expected to be changed, please refer to the IR referred to above; however, our team’s analysis suggests that only a few codes’ changes are expected (e.g. tomatoes, sawdust, mako shark, urea and certain miscellaneous chemicals).
