Cooperation between Customs, Phytosanitary, Veterinary and Sanitary-Epidemiological services improved to facilitate trade in Turkmenistan
From November 22 to 24, BOMCA 10 worked on advancing cooperation between Customs and Phytosanitary, Veterinary and Sanitary-Epidemiological services involved in border control at border check points. Inter-agency cooperation leads to more efficient processes at the border, which individual travellers but also businesses benefit from.
Upon all discussions and a visit to the International Customs Terminal of Ashgabat, a list of recommended actions to improve cooperation and communication tools among the mentioned agencies will be produced by the team of international experts.
This technical assistance mission completed the series of activities in 5 Central Asian countries. All efforts are expected to enhance cooperation among the relevant agencies and thus contribute to facilitation of international trade.
